Well, it’s been a rough couple of days here in central Arkansas. Two days ago, our neighbors in Mayflower and Vilonia were hit by an incredibly strong and fatal tornado. Living in Arkansas, tornadoes are something we all have to live with. It’s scary, but we always just assume that every place has something they have to deal with. This is our thing.

As sad as it is to see the damage and loss of life…this is exactly the time Arkansans come together. Watching everyone scrambling to help is inspiring and reminds me that the human spirit of kindness is alive and well. As much as I hate the devastation, I love to see people come to together to help each other.

Being a swim shop, with swimmers as my customers, it just seemed fitting to do what I can to provide water for the victims and workers, so I am collecting water to donate. If you want to help, just bring bottled water to the store and I will make sure it gets to them. As a matter of fact, Splashwear will match any donation.

As swimmers, we all know that water is life….Help us give that little bit of life to the ones who need it the most now.
